Coupled Sash Composite Windows
Many windows and doors can be manufactured in a coupled sash (2+1) configuration, a method of construction that provides exceptional levels of thermal insulation, acoustic attenuation and solar control performance.
Coupled sash windows and doors have a single glazed outer aluminium sash, hinged to an inner timber sash which is glazed with a double glazed sealed unit. Both sashes open as one, but can be uncoupled for access to integral blinds that can be installed between the two glazed surfaces.
